From research in Point Pleasant, here's my collection of designs based  on witness descriptions that were included in the police report during the period 1965-1966.

The vector prints can be purchased in the main section of my store in several background colors and sizes. I restricted the designs to the drawings. No captions or subtitles because I think iit s more effective as a collectible t-shirt. Enjoy your Mothman wake-up call!

Infante Typeface – Denslow Design Typography For Children’s Books

I rarely do children typography but I’m a fan of W.W. Denslow’s illustrations books and typography because of their simplicity and originality. You can buy Denslow’s books in many bookstores. They make great gifts for children.

Based on Denslow typography, I designed a premium commercial font called Infante, which means in Spanish – a baby. Denslow’s typefaces are characterized by extended characters and recycling of geometric elements. For children’s books,  a main requirement is text’s readability and legibility as well as alphabet learning. Therefore, the re-innovation design of a new brand typeface for a bestseller children’s book could be an added benefit for the author and publishing house.

Please notice that Infante font is for cover books presentations and illustrations displays because that’s how Denslow used these design fonts in his publications. For text narratives, I recommend you use a more conventional font such as Monotype Century Gothic.

Infante font is available from my professional foundry for Windows and Mac with unlimited license and you can purchase the font through my Paypal account. A word of warning – if you’re planning to save a few bucks, using a free font from fonts portals for your hard-working publications, I think you’re in the wrong business. Most free fonts are made by amateurs with rasterized bitmaps, non-scalable, and the metrics do not have optical thickness, hinting, and accurate kerning pairs. Big difference in the world of typography design.

Villa de las Almas Perdidas - Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights Show

For Halloween 2011, I made this new horror print and revise the Mexican font in  my original Posada typography. The design is based in the characters of the amazing and scary Universal Studios show, Halloween Horror Nights, which includes the Spanish theme, Villa de las Almas Perdidas (Village of Lost Souls).

The design is optically interesting and intentional in contrast backgrounds. If you buy the tshirt in white or light color, you’ll see more emphasis in the Spanish titles. If you order the tee in dark backgrounds, the English titles become more important visually.

The t-shirt can be purchased in the Spells section of the Votum Sanguinis store, and it is ideal for parties all year around. Another great and cool design of my Dark Shadows collection.

American Constitution Calligraphy - Recreating We The People Font

As an exercise to my calligraphy skills, I recreated the first three words 'We the People' of the US Constitution of the United States to understand the engrossing work of the penman.

Whoever was responsible for the great art work, the calligraphy work is interesting because it is not Zanerian style, a popular handwriting developed years later. In the first three words, ‘We the People’ the penman uses small diagonals in the English blackletters to create opticals in the spacing, and then he changes to an informal cursive style. Each section or article of the document is identified with the same cap height and written with similar English blackletters style for consistency.

Below you can find my calligraphy artwork and design. I introduced a correction in the baseline of the lettering with overshoots because the measurements are not vertical equally. A mistake that was acceptable in 1776 without computers and printers. Nonetheless, the document is beautifully written.

My unique vector print is available in the American Spells section should you want to order a great collectible t-shirt that I’ve not seen in commercial apparel websites. Most designs are poor scans of the document because people are lazy and they want to make a buck quick.

In addition, if We The People font is commissioned for a special venue, I will take the time to design it, however, calligraphy fonts are more difficult to kern and take many hours of work. Thanks.

If you’re planning to submit your manuscript to Harlequin Romance publishers it is always a good idea to read carefully the submission guidelines. If your story shines and it is accepted I would like to congratulate you for your hard work. You’re on your way to become part of the mass-market fiction books.

Once it is approved, I would like to recommend you get the editors’ attention to my design blog. There are two things why readers pick up a Harlequin novel in bookstores. Pendleton Demibold Font - Military Typography For The Home Of The Brave

Pendleton Demibold is a premium military font for promotion of American government magazines in the military field. It is not an easy and candid font but it has an amazing visual impact in titles that could also be used in posters, cards and presentations. It is modeled after my experience in Somalia Operation Restore Hope but I won’t tell you the long sad story of Battle of Mogadishu. If you want to relive the violent struggle, rent or buy the film Blackhawk Down.

The font is a serif typeface for better readibility at smaller sizes with interesting ligatures and I’m sure all leathernecks would be pleased to purchase the font for their own military greeting cards from Afghanistan.

The Twilight cover books typography seems to be a very popular font with the show fans and publishers. Volturi font is my own refined commercial version for this kind of dark typography and it is ideal for movie screen titles or books presentations which want a variation of the serif typeface design.

New Barathion Typeface - Addicted To Dungeons & Dragons Design Typography

I was looking at some compiled fonts from video games and I was dissapointed with the quality design they offer. This idea made me realize that there are plenty of opportunities to design a commercial font for new role-playing games such as the popular Dungeons & Dragons.

Barathion is an original serif font that can be used in Gothic fantasy titles and it is designed after Dungeons & Dragons’s similar adventures, including martial and mortal combats, mystery dungeons and fantastic monsters. My Bezier vector font should be a popular typeface in the role-playing game industry and films with imaginary adventures within a fantasy setting.

The influence of Dungeons & Dragons is amazingly admired in the game community and it remains the best-known and best-selling role-playing game of all times.

Ophiuchus Zodiac Symbol - Get Your Tshirt Before NASA Nukes The 13th Constellation

Get your Ophiuchus tshirt before NASA nukes the space constellation because according to the New York Times the official introduction of the missing sign is creating an identity crisis in astrologers and zodiac sign holders.

My new design offers the new Ophiuchus symbol introduced as Unicode + 26CE, and it was also used in the Playstation Final Fantasy games. In addition, I designed the fantasy font to make the design very unique.
